Mark’s story
“Work had been manic, and Jess and I both decided we needed a couple of weeks off. We didn’t want the hassle of taking the kids abroad, so we put them in the car and set off for Devon.
Our expectations were of a quite place full of beautiful vistas and country pubs. But it turned out to be so much more than that.
Jess was the first one to say. ‘I feel utterly relaxed my mind feels like it’s been emptied of all the rubbish.’ I had to agree; I felt really happy and invigorated, like I had a new-found enthusiasm for, well, life. There were so many things for all of us to do, we had a problem fitting in everything we had planned.
It turns out Devon is far from sleepy, although I haven’t slept so well in years.”
